Uh, Sanford, what I believe you missed in your zeal to point fingers is that
CS is talking about paper-based mailings, not email. Sure, CS, and many
others, sell their lists to other companies. And they're right, many of us
CS'ers enjoy receiving the *snailmail* information...since it doesn't cost
us anything to receive it...or to discard it if not interested.

Now, if CS sold my CompuServe account number to someone, and I had to *pay*
to retrieve, read and discard unwanted mail, I'd be bullshit.

Does *that* sound familiar?

In all the years that I've had a CS account, I have *never* received an
unsolicited commercial email. I did get an email from a long lost
girlfriend, but that's a different story ;-)

Isn't this horse dead yet?
