Contest rules question

I am working on a website targetted at young teens for a large non-profit
organization. The site will feature, among other things, a game --kids who
complete the game (there are no wrong answers, BTW) can register to win a prize.

I'm hoping that a few of you have set up Web-based contests and will be able
to help me with a few questions, to wit: do we need to include contest rules
at the site? If so, is there a basic set of rules that will cover everyone
who might enter the contest, or do we need to get some lawyers involved?

Pointers to other online contests, FAQs, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
