Compuserve Hypocrisy

Not to beat a dead horse, but I just picked up a little tid bit about
CompuServe's policies on unsolicited e-mail...

They are begining to block e-mail from sources that are sending commercial
mailings to their members.

But, I just read this on Compuserve's mail/magazine preference information
window.

<<<<<In our continuous effort to provide our customers with the best possible
service, we occasionally utilize our membership list for mailings. ... From
time to time, special CompuServe mailings may be sent. CompuServe also
sometimes makes its membership mailing lists available to other companies who
wish to send our members information about their products or services.

Most members enjoy receiving these mailings, however, you have the option of
including or excluding your name from these various mailing lists. *Your
name will be included on all lists unless you specify otherwise.* ... >>>>>

Sound familiar?!?!?

I find it this situation pretty ironic.
