We're at the beginning of something that is changing the way we
communicate. Change that, and you need new models for doing
business.

This is not a new-age revelation. This has been pointed out by many and
has received lots of play now by Peppers &amp; Rogers in "The One to One
Future, Building Relationships One Customer at a Time" and Cross &amp;
Smith in "Customer Bonding, Pathway to Lasting Custom Loyalty."
The _exciting_ part is that we now have the means. Database marketing,
case-based reasoning and the Internet give us the tools to implement
personal relationships with a mass audience.
Why has cyberspace captured our imaginations?
The members of this list are entrepreneurial, technically savvy,
excited by change and enthused by the prospect of taking an active
hand in shaping this brave new world. Besides, we just can't
wait to see what's going to happen next!
