To Frame or Not To Frame?

It has been our experience that users prefer the frames interface. It
provides a lot more information about what's available at the site at the
touch of a button. The interface becomes much more user friendly (although
a good site should always be user friendly).

We've incorporated frames at our site and the response has been very
positive. We've also been tracking the browsers that come to the site and
well over 90% are Netscape users. We used the frames for a client that
allowed their entire book to be placed online allowing the pictures and
captions to be loaded in separate side frames. This allows the chapters to
be loaded much more quickly. You can check it out at:

Frames are fairly simple to set up. It is best to design for a 640 x 480
screen. This does not detract from those coming with a higher screen
resolution as long as your ad or navigational bar/buttons are centered
within the frame. We've placed an online tutorial for HTML, tables and
frames at our site and allow the navigational bar to be changed to suit the
interests of the visitor. Please let us know how we can better serve your
needs.

Best Wishes,

Brad
