The answers posted to this list have focused on small lists available
on-line. But there are far greater resources off-line.
Go to the library and check out Working Press of the Nation. Write to them
and ask if they have any disk-based version. Also contact R.R. Bowker (121
Chanlon Rd, New Providence, NJ), publisher of many useful (but expensive)
directories. And talk to your reference librarian.
There is one very inexpensive ($40) resource for radio talk shows, for which
I'm currently negotiating to become a dealer. It's available in print and in
WordPerfect, but I don't know if the disk info is sortable (I'm waiting for a
reply from the publisher on this).
You could also try renting a list from publishers who have great media
contacts--if they're in your subject area.
