- The just announced SET standard by Visa/MasterCard will likely change
the situation you describe. It is laying the groundwork for transactions
over the net to offer the merchant the same level of protection that having
a physical signature now affords. This is not likely to change
overnight, but it will come. CyberCash expects to be one of the
first implementors of this new specification.
- All banks are not the same in this situation you describe. Many banks
really pride themselves on being aggressive on the merchant behalf.
