Compuserve Unethical Practices

I just received a charge from Compuserve on my Credit Card and I cancelled
them more than 6 months ago. It was not easy to stop the billing either. I
had to notify the Credit Card to stop paying them after I repeatedly asked
them to stop billing me. Now all of a sudden the charge is back. Is this a
new kind of marketing? I have heard that Compuserve does this? Can anyone
tell me about this unethical practice. My credit card company Wells Fargo,
said they were fed up too and to report them to the Calif Atty
General--This may not be appropriate for the list-I apologize but what kind
of marketing is this?
