I write you this show report just a few blocks away from the Javitz Center
in NYC where the Inet World Expo is being held.
I just left teaming hords of people climbing over each other in the
exhibition area. That's in dramitc contrast to this morning's crowd which
was thin, most likely due to the 12 inches of snow that fell here lst
night. I've heard project figures for the three days (it ends Sunday) of 25
thousand people. After what I just saw I believe it.
This Inet show is much different from others I've been to. In the past they
typically aimed at b-t-b crowd. This show is aimed at a much wider
audiance. The promotions I saw sought out the SOHO (small office, home
office) market.
Anyway it told me that the Net has become not just mainstream but extememly
happening as well. The early adopters (such as readers of this list) must
truly be in their glory. Since everyone will have a website sooner or
later, it means everyone will become a Net marketer. So lists like this one
are bound to grow, especially after I feature it in a marketing seminar
tomorrow morning.
