Our view is that the prime directive is *be there*, regardless of the degree
of presence.
Recent experience has taught that it can take upward of 30 days for domain
registration to be completed. In that interim, we counsel our clients to
identify the information that they would like to see immediately online.
Once the domain is secured, it takes little time to build an initial visibility.
>From there, the longer term emphasis is geared toward an ever-evolving
presence based upon site traffic, test results, shifts in client strategies,
technology enhancements, and a clearer picture of Internet demographics.
The Internet is changing so rapidly. It is a moving target where all types
of businesses are preoccupied with trying to score bulls-eyes. Most of the
salvos fired careen aimlessly through cyberspace. IMHO, simply _hitting_
the target, at this stage of the game, must be considered a victory.
