A very good book for the intermediate/advanced net user is Michael
Strangelove's "How to Advertise on the Internet" (e-mail:
mstrange@fonorola.net). Strangelove is publisher of the "Internet Business
Journal," and this book contains a large accumulation of information about
the net, including dozens of annotated URLs for finding information on the
net itself.

You won't get a lot of Internet baby-talk in this book, though sometimes
you'll wish for a little more detail. The book is strong on setting-up and
using mailing lists, gopher sites and Web home pages. Regarding home pages,
Strangelove doesn't tell you how to make them, but does tell you how they
can be used and provides contact information for several home page
designers.

This is a spendy book ($49.50, U.S. and Canadian), and it's not pretty, but
it's the best business book about using the Internet I've seen so far.
