I was able to get a copy. It's actually reasonably interesting.
Some 18,000 respondents, and a sizable amount of data. I still have severe
doubts as to the reality represented by the sample set, wrt self-selection,
but taken with that chunk of salt there are a few interesting tidbits:
61% of the respondents operate a WWW server.
54% of those servers are on 1 MB/sec connection. (T1 probably)
58% of the servers are NCSA HTTPD.
And the largest group of respondents were 'technical specialists' _not_
students. This should bring cheers from some folks. Additionally, the
distribution of ages among the respondents did fit a normal distribution.
Check it out. It's worth what it's worth. Sample bias is a problem, but
it is real information from 18,000 people on the Internet.
