Looking at the logs of our pages with imbedded graphics, we
see a disparity between hits of the page and hits of the
embedded graphic. Usually the ratio of the latter to the
former is around 2/3. This leads me to conclude that about
1/3 of the folks accessing the page are unable (or unwilling)
to load the image.

If there are some times that the page is ordinarily loaded without
the graphic or vice versa this could invalidate the conclusion.

But does this seem like a good way to estimate this?

What sort of ratios do other folks see?

My figure of 2/3 is from memory but I could go back to the
data if someone is interested.
